Similarly Amazon has had several close shaves involving pricing errors for electrical goods. Its terms and conditions allow it to contact customers who have placed an order based on inaccurate pricing information and decline to meet the order at the price specified. There are regular reports of websites where a pricing error has allowed hundreds of customers to place orders for goods at unintentionally bargain prices. Consumers alert each other to this type of error and a website retailer can quickly find itself swamped with orders, all at potentially ruinous prices. However with legal terms and conditions, the website retailer can avoid being liable for orders placed at erroneous prices. Is your business a limited company?
